“My whole family consists of coffee enthusiasts, we compare the aroma and richness of it, we’ve basically tasted all the coffee that Ipoh has to offer. But we found it hard to look for good affordable coffee in the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur.” says Mike Leong, while he recounts his times back in his home town in Taman Gopeng, Perak, a small town 15 minutes away from Ipoh City.
With the high prices of coffee in the city, whenever he and his family gets a chance to be back in Ipoh, they’ll make a pit stop to the local coffee shop to ”dabao” coffee on the go, just to get a cup of nostalgia to remember by until their next visit.
However, with the pandemic going on with no end in sight, he’s been looking high and low, trying to find the right cup of Ipoh’s vintage coffee but it’s failed at the end.

Our coffee is brewed using hand-picked Premium Arabica coffee beans, blended with freshly sourced free-ranged cow’s milk fined into dairy syrup (condensed milk).
Hand Brew
Our brewing process uses Vietnamese Phin coffee filters for the dripping method that accentuates the bean’s intricate flavours, allowing water to extract the flavours and aromas in its own consistent time and pressure to make them stand out.

Finally in 2020, he’s been able to develop the coffee that he and his family approves of, and founded the brand CoffeeMeow, named with his two lovely cats in mind. He were sharing the “stories” of coffees to the people he had encountered on his national coffee crawl, trying to honor those artisans by presenting his coffees as authentically as possible.
